Zvonimir Krstulović
Zvonimir Krstulović was born in Supetar, on the island of Brač, in 1963. When he was seven years old, his family moved to Split where he spent most of his life. He is a journalist and a photographer and he has worked for all the major newspapers in Croatia. He started working in journalism at the time of Yugoslavia, for youth publications, who were at the time very critical of the existing regime. From the very first days of war, as a journalist and reporter for Slobodna Dalmacija he visited various battlefields in Croatia and witnessed the chaos of war and the suffering of people, members of various national groups. He worked at Slobodna Dalmacija until 1993 when, as a result of privatisation,the newspaper ended up in the ownership of one of the first Croatian tycoons, Miroslav Kutle, and lost its journalistic credibility. Today he lives and works in Zagreb.
