Zrinka Šesto

Zrinka Šesto was born in 1972 in Vukovar. She completed primary school and high school in Vukovar, where she lived together with her family until the fall of the town in the autumn of 1991, after which her family sought refuge in Zagreb. During the siege of Vukovar her uncle was killed, and her father was interned at the Velepromet camp. Thanks to the fact that he was a journalist, he managed to remain alive. In 2001, after ten years in refuge, Zrinka Šesto decided to return to Vukovar with her husband and child. Today she and her husband run a private tourist agency which organises visits to Vukovar and tours of places of remembrance, to prevent the sufferings of people from Vukovar being forgotten.
