Zorka Jovetić
Zorka Jovetić was born in 1959 in Lička Jesenica, in Lika, where until the war in the 1990s the majority of the population was Serb. Before the Homeland War she worked as a nursery school teacher in Plaški. She spent the period between 1991 and 1995 in SAO Krajina [Serbian Autonomous Oblast of Krajina]. In June 1995, before Operation Storm, she took refuge in Serbia with her two children. They stayed in Belgrade and Subotica. She returned to Croatia, together with her husband and children, in March 1997. Today she lives in Plaški and is the head of the local ecological association ‘How green my valley is’.
