Željka Raković was born in 1956 in Sisak. She spent the duration of the war in the 1990s in Sisak, with her two daughters. At the very end of the war, on August 4, 1995, during an attack on Sisak, her twenty one year old daughter was killed by a shell. Željka Raković never recovered from the loss of her daughter. Today she lives in Sisak with her younger daughter. She is unemployed. She is active in an association of civilian war victims.
