Vojko Ivica

Vojko Ivica was born in 1948 in Split. He comes from a Partisan family. He was brought up in the spirit of antifascism and the fight for workers' rights. During his working life he battled for justice and workers' rights. At the time of the proclamation of Croatian independence and the establishment of the multiparty system, he joined the regional party, Dalmatinska Akcija [Dalmatian Action]. Later, after the party was prevented from pursuing its activities, he continued to defend human rights through non-governmental associations, namely Dalmatian Solidarity Committee and Altruist. Today, he remains involved as an activist and protector of human rights.
