Vida Tućan

Vida Tućan was born in 1938 in Zagreb. She is a physical education teacher by vocation, but she has also simultaneously built a career as a scenographer and she was very successful at the time of the former Yugoslavia. Following the breakup of Yugoslavia she joined some of the political initiatives of the time, and later political parties, such as the Association for Yugoslav Democratic Initiative and Dalmatian Action. In 1991, fearing war destruction, she moved with her family to Split, taking the last train. In Split, during the war, she worked with women refugees and she was active in civil society. Today she lives in Split and she is retired.
