Vanja Pagar

Vanja Pagar was born in Split in 1969. He is a visual artist. During the war in the 1990s he often travelled between Split and Zagreb, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. He experienced the severed road connections between different parts of Croatia, which were the result of the war. He also witnessed the psychological impact of the war on Split during wartime and the changes that occurred in people. Thanks to the experience of living through a war, coupled with his cultural and artistic interest, he became a politically conscious and engaged citizen.
