Toni Vukičević

Toni Vukičević was born in 1966 in Split. He is a lawyer. At the beginning of the war in the 1990s he was starting his career as a lawyer. Even as a trainee lawyer he encountered various human rights violations; ranging from property disputes, tenant's rights issues, and job losses, to matters of armed rebellion and war crimes. At the same time, he personally witnessed the war psychosis that took hold over Split in those years. Just after the war, in 1996 - 1997, thanks to a scholarship from the British government he spent time studying abroad and he earned a PhD; his thesis dealt with human rights. His speciality is the European Court of Human Rights. He works in Split as a lawyer.
