Svetozar Jovanović was born in 1965 in Dubrovnik. His father, a military man, comes from Bosnia and Herzegovina, from an area that is today part of Republika Srpska. His mother is Slovene. Due to his father's service in the military, he grew up in different environments: he moved from Dubrovnik to Knin, and later to Split. In the 1980s he was active in alternative movements in Split. He is known as the author of some well known graffiti in Split. In 1986 his father and mother moved to Bosnia and Herzegovina where they saw the outbreak of the war in the 1990s. Svetozar, also known as Sveto Panker, was mobilized at the beginning of the war and he joined the 4th Guards Brigade of the Croatian Army. In 1994 he was evicted from his apartment and he spent the following eight years waiting for justice from the courts. After the people occupying his apartment were moved out, he finally moved back in. Today he lives in Split. In his free time he is involved with music.
