Spomenko Bralić

Spomenko Bralić was born in 1961 in Donji Miholjac, but he spent all of his life in Rijeka. Having completed his obligatory military service in the Yugoslav National Army, he was officially exempt from the obligation to periodically participate in military exercises. Nonetheless, at the beginning of the war in Croatia he was mobilised and sent to the Lika region battlefield. In Gospić he turned to a military doctor and asked to be assigned a post in the military structure which would not involve him participating in war actions. Based on that request, the doctor discharged him from the military and after ten days Spomenko Bralić returned to Rijeka where he still lives today.
