Sava Ćalić

Sava Ćalić was born in 1924 in the village of Krbavica. Her family suffered great losses in the Second World War: out of nine family members, only three survived the war. Her father was killed in the Ustaše prison camp in Jadovno. Her family first became refugees during the Second World War. She is the mother of two grown-up sons. One of them lived in Serbia before the war in the 1990s and the other took refuge in Serbia in 1995, having previously lived in Zagreb. After Operation Storm she and her husband fled to Serbia. They returned in March 1997.
