Mileva Babić
Mileva Babić was born in Željava, in Lika, in 1933. The village is near to the Željava underground airbase which served as an important military installation until the break-up of Yugoslavia in 1992. The area suffered greatly in the Second World War. She spent the entire course of the Homeland War in the territory of SAO Krajina [Serbian Autonomous Oblast of Krajina]. One of her sons was killed in 1992. After Operation Storm she took refuge in Rijeka and Belgrade. Today she lives alone in Ličko Petrovo Selo.
