Milan Tadić
Milan Tadić was born in 1967 in Donji Lapac. He grew up in Germany. He was married in 1990 and set up a driving school in Donji Lapac just before the war. He believes that prior to the outbreak of war in the 1990s, memories of the Second World War were used to create an atmosphere of fear amongst the inhabitants of Donji Lapac. In 1991 he was mobilised by the SAO Krajina Army [Serbian Autonomous Oblast of Krajina] in which he spent a short time. He then worked as a translator for UNPROFOR. On June 1, 1995 he left for Belgrade, with his family. During his time in Serbia he worked for the UNPROFOR Mission in Bosnia. In March 1998 he and his family returned to Lika. He started working for the OSCE in Korenica. Today he lives in Donji Lapac.
