Meri Juričko
Meri Juričko was born in 1955 in Split. She is a lawyer by vocation. In 1977 she started working at the Civil Department of the Municipal Court in Split as a trainee, and later became a judge. She continued to work there until 1992. She witnessed the removal of judges at the Court in Split at the beginning of the 1990s, as well as the general social and political situation in Split at the time, which included evictions and threats. She was subsequently appointed a judge at the Military Court, where she remained only for a few months, before leaving the position and deciding to practice law. As a lawyer, she represented people whose human rights were infringed and she had direct insight into court proceedings of that nature. Today she continues to work as a lawyer and lives in Split.
