Kristian Petric
Kristian Petric was born in 1970 in Split. Kristijan's father comes from the island of Vis and during the Second World War spent time in the El Shatt refugee camp. At the beginning of the war in the 1990s, Kristian Petric was performing compulsory military service in the Yugoslav National Army. As a conscript, amongst other duties, he was posted to barricades that were put up around Knin at the beginning of the war. After leaving the Yugoslav National Army he signed up for the Croatian Army and joined Special Units of the Ministry of Interior. As part of activities with the Special Units he spent time on battlefields all over Croatia and took part in Operations Flash and Storm. He was wounded in one of the actions. In the year 2000 he was retired. Today he is involved with humanitarian work. He lives in Split.
