Jasenka Borojević
Jasenka Borojević was born on October 3, 1946, in Sisak. During the Second World War her father spent time in the Jasenovac prison camp, as a result of his membership of SKOJ [Young Communist League of Yugoslavia]. On October 6, 1991, her husband went missing. His body was found on October 18. The pathologist’s report showed that he had been tortured and thrown into the river. The perpetrators were never found. In 2006 she initiated a court action against the Republic of Croatia for compensation. She lost and the Municipal Court in Sisak ordered her to settle the court expenses which amount to 26 950 Kuna. Today she lives in Sisak.
