Ivica Horvatić
Ivan Horvatić was born in 1946 in Glina. By vocation, he is a sanitary engineer and he spent his working life in the Sisak Medical Centre. His family comes from Novo Selo Glinsko, in which the Serb forces committed a war crime on December 16, 1991, killing 33 inhabitants of the village. His son, who was a fireman, was killed on September 11, 1991, at the age of 21, during a fire-fighting operation, following shelling and an explosion in a hotel. His father was killed in Novo Selo Glinsko during shelling. From 1993 to 1995 he acted as a volunteer in military medicine. He participated in Operation Storm. Shortly after the end of the war, in 1996, he found the remains of his father. In the area of Novo Selo Glinsko, 25 people are still reported missing. He is the head of the Association of Families of Dead Veterans.
