Gordan Bosanac
Gordan Bosanac was born in 1973 in Zagreb. There was a degree of resistance within his family towards the predominant ideology in Yugoslavia. At the end of his high school education, at the height of the political turmoil in Yugoslavia, he joined Montažstroj, an independent art group that, amongst other things, was involved with investigative and socially engaged theatre. He collaborated with Montažstroj until he started studying physics at the University of Zagreb. In 1997 he responded to an advertisement by the Centre for Peace Studies published in Feral Tribune. That marked the beginning of his involvement with activism. For the most part he dealt with questions of conscientious objection and later education in peace building. He is one of the founders of the Iskorak association, which deals with the rights of the LGBT population. He still works at the Centre for Peace Studies. His chief interest is the development of security policy in the region and beyond.
