Đorđe Jovičić
Đorđe Jovičić was born in 1945 in the village of Drenovac, in the Municipality of Glina. At the beginning of the war, in September 1991, as the conflict was becoming ever more intense, he and his family left Petrinja and went to Zagreb. On the basis of criminal charges filed against him, he was arrested in Zagreb on November 16, 1992. He was taken to Sisak and held in custody there. Subsequently, he was transferred to Karlovac for a prisoner exchange, to which he didn't agree. He was then taken back to Zagreb, and held in prisons in Selska and Gajeva Street and in Kerestinec. His was released from pre-trial detention after three months, but very soon charges were pressed against him for the criminal act of armed rebellion. To avoid being arrested again, on May 20, 1992 he fled with his family to Austria, where he lives to this day.
