Boris Šimić

Boris Šimić was born in 1959 in Šibenik. A few months after his birth, his family moved to Zadar. He was educated at the School for Police Officers in Zagreb and he spent a few years working as a policeman at the then State Secretariat for Internal Affairs. As part of his job he was in the police forces that were sent to Kosovo at the beginning of the 1980s in order to deal with the unrest that had occurred. After three years of service he left the police. At the beginning of the war in Croatia he joined the Ministry of the Interior police forces. For a month following Operation Storm, as a member of the police, he was stationed in the village of Srb, that had been part of SAO Krajina during the 1990s. Today he is retired and he lives in Zadar.
